And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the sojourners of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.. Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the foreigners of Gilead, said to Ahab, "As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.". And Ahab said to Elijah, Is it possible that the curse of Joshua, the son of Nun, who was only the servant of Moses, should be fulfilled; and the curse of Moses, our teacher, not be fulfilled; who said, Deuteronomy 11:16, Deuteronomy 11:17 : If ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them, then the Lord's wrath shall be kindled against you; and he will shut up the heaven that there be no rain?. Quote 28: "There isn't any need to deny everything there's been just because you are going to lose it."

16 Prophecy against Baasha 1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jehu the son of. Hanani against Baasha, saying, 2 "Inasmuch as I exalted. you from the dust and made you leader over My people Israel, and you. have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made My people Israel. sin, provoking Me to anger with their sins, 3 behold, I. will consume Baasha and his house, and I will make your house like. the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.. 12 Thus Zimri destroyed all the household of Baasha,. according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke against Baasha. through Jehu the prophet, 13 for all the sins of Baasha. and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and which they made. Israel sin, provoking the LORD God of Israel to anger with their. idols.. 16 The. people who were camped heard it said, "Zimri has conspired and has. also struck down the king.". Therefore all Israel made Omri, the. commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.. And Tibni died and Omri became king.. Thus Ahab did more to provoke. the LORD God of Israel than all the kings of Israel who were before. him.. 4 "It shall be that you will drink of the brook, and I. have commanded the ravens to provide for you there.". 11 As she was going to get it, he called to. her and said, "Please bring me a piece of bread in your hand.". 12 But she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have no bread,. only a handful of flour in the bowl and a little oil in the jar; and. behold, I am gathering a few sticks that I may go in and prepare for. me and my son, that we may eat it and die.". 15 So she went and did according to the word of Elijah,. and she and he and her household ate for many days.. 20 He. called to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, have You also brought. calamity to the widow with whom I am staying, by causing her son to. die?". 23 Elijah took the child and brought him down. from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother; and. Elijah said, "See, your son is alive."
